Girolamo Tramarini
Tramarini entered the Verona military school as a pupil on 22 September 1777 and left it as a second lieutenant of the line on 20 September 1785. He was promoted to captain on 8 June 1793. He entered Cisalpine service on 20 September 1797 as a captain of chasseurs of the Venetian Legion. He took part in the campaign of the Romagna in 1798 and the campaign in Italy in 1799, being wounded in Piedmont. On 9 October 1801 he was made a captain in the topographer corps, but on 30 November 1804 he was appointed interim commander of the Milan Convalescence Depot, then on 9 January 1805 he commanded the Modena Convalescence Depot. He then moved to the 4th infantry line regiment , where he was arrested on 1 February 1806 for levying contributions. Deprived of his rank, he spent two years in prison (Cf. MSA, WO 2856, 1917).
