Jean Ambroise Baston de Lariboisière (Fougères, 18 August 1759 – Königsberg, 21 December 1812)
Of noble ancestry, he served as a lieutenant in the same regiment as Bonaparte. He was promoted to brigade chief (colonel) and was appointed a member of the artillery Central Committee in 1796. He was promoted to lieutenant general commander-in-chief of the artillery of the Imperial Guard and was decorated as a Grand Officer of the Legion of Honour in 1807. He was made count of the Empire in 1809 and became first inspector general of the artillery on 20 February 1811.
