Jean-Baptiste Eblé (Saint-Jean de Rohrbach, 21 December 1758 – Königsberg, 31 December 1812)
Joined the artillery as a cannoneer during the Ancien Régime, and rose through the ranks to lieutenant general by 1793. He was War Minister of the Kingdom of Westphalia from September 1808 to 20 January 1810, and was made a baron of the Empire in 1808. Reentered French service in 1810. He built and afterwards destroyed the bridges at the Beresina in 1812, dying in the aftermath.
