Allent

Pierre Alexandre Joseph Allent (Saint-Omer, 9 August 1772 – Paris, 5 July 1837)

Allent was an engineering officer and secretary of the Central Comittee of the engineering corps from 1800 to 1813. He was also a member of the Conseil de perfectionnement of the École Polytechnique and was an examiner there from 9 October 1802 to 1814. A State Councillor in 1814, and subsequently a member of Parliament, in 1832 he was named a Peer of France. He published many works, including [Allent, Pierre Alexandre Joseph]. Year IX [1800].
