Brescia, 30 November 1758)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Donegani entered Venetian service as a bombardier in 1778, passed as a bomber the following year, then was promoted to ensign in 1782 and to captain in 1785. He joined the Brescian Legion as a lieutenant 2nd class in 1797, was promoted to lieutenant 1st class in the Cisalpine artillery on 3 November 1798, then to captain 2nd class on 7 July 1803, to captain 1st class on 18 June 1806, and finally battalion chief subdirector at Ancona on May 31, 1813 (Cf.
